One More Reason Portland Is a Great Place to Live: Follow the Crows
Portland has a wonderful way of turning an ordinary bike ride or walk into a fun adventure. Follow the Crows is a citywide art installation featuring 30 beautifully painted crow sculptures, each standing about six feet tall.
The exhibit runs from August 7 through October 30, 2026. Twenty-five of the crows are located in and around downtown Portland, with five more scattered farther away.
Want to explore them by bike? This 9.6-mile route takes you to all 25 downtown crow sculptures:
Follow the Crows Bike Route
Each point-of-interest marker on the route includes the crow’s name, its location, and its official number from the printed Crow Trail map. The markers show the exact location of each sculpture, so zoom in if you do not spot one right away.
A few helpful tips:
- Many downtown streets are one-way, so you may need to circle the block occasionally.
- Some crows are set back from the bike route or roadway.
- Be prepared to park your bike and walk a short distance to see a few of them.
- Please watch for pedestrians and avoid riding on sidewalks or crowded paths.
Follow the Crows is such a fun way to enjoy Portland’s creativity, neighborhoods, and bike-friendly spirit. Grab a friend, hop on your bike, and see how many crows you can find!
Just one more reason Portland is a great place to call home.
